Over twenty-two
years of combined criminal and civil litigation experience, including
three years defending military members in the U.S. Air Force against
misdemeanor and felony charges, and nineteen years defending civil claims
against physicians, hospitals, insurance companies, governmental entities
and other organizations on claims ranging from medical negligence, personal
injury and insurance bad faith. Civil litigation experience includes, trial experience
defending an aircraft maintenance company in a jury trial resulting
in a split verdict, and litigation experience preparing and
defending a small claims matter for a national airline
in a bench trial resulting in a defense verdict, presenting numerous
oral arguments on dispositive motions with an emphasis on medical negligence
actions, and arguing several appeals before the Alaska Supreme Court.
