Introduction
Delaney,
Wiles Hayes, Inc. is one of the state's oldest
and largest law firms, having first established an office in the late 1950's,
prior to Alaska becoming a State. The firm is presently comprised of 15
lawyers, 7 of whom are shareholders of the firm. The firm also employs
3 paralegals, 5 secretaries, and an administrative support staff.
Associate
Development
The firm
does not maintain a specific associate hiring schedule, but is always looking
for well qualified attorneys to join us. Associates are assigned to specific
areas when they start work at the firm. The firm makes every effort to
accommodate the associates' personal preferences in making these assignments.
The firm also assigns a senior attorney to work with each new associate.
We also
offer an unparalled opportunity to see the Last Frontier first hand. Because
we believe in having a life outside the office, Delaney Wiles attorneys
do more than practice law: They're cyclists, musicians, dads, marathon
runners, moms, civic leaders, thespians, Little League coaches and volunteers.
Compensation
and Benefits
The starting
salary the firm offers to new associates commensurate with the highest
offered by large firms in the region. The firm provides group medical and
life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan and profit
plan benefits, and parking. The firm also pays for professional fees and
dues and continuing legal education expenses.
Equal
Employment Opportunity
The firm
is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis
of race, gender, religion, or national origin.
